2011 - Present

Primary role (ongoing)

Founder & Lead Engineer

Vintique Sound

Founded Vintique Sound as an independent audio production company focused on high-end mixing, mastering, and audio education. Oversaw all technical, creative, and business operations. This role formed the foundation of my professional identity as an audio engineer and educator.

2022 - 2025

Formal education (audio and web development coding skills)

Bachelor of Computer Science

MacEwan University

Completed a Computer Science degree with emphasis on AI & machine learning, systems programming, operating systems, and web development. Built a strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra and calculus, directly supporting advanced audio signal processing, tooling, and performance-oriented software design.

2012 - 2018

Part-time professional experience

Recording, Mixing & Mastering Engineer

Golden Wave Studios

Worked in a professional studio environment, contributing to recording, mixing, and mastering sessions. Gained hands-on experience with analog signal chains, critical listening, session workflow, and high-pressure production environments, skills later integrated into my work and teachings at Vintique Sound.

2011 - 2017

Formal education (critical thinking and communication skills)

Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy & Psychology)

MacEwan University

Studied philosophy and psychology, developing strong analytical thinking and communication skills. This academic background informs my approach to teaching, client collaboration, problem-solving, and the human-centered design of technical and creative systems.

My Philosophy

At its core, engineering is about understanding problems and then systematically and creatively solving them. Preferably, the solution is both efficient and elegant. In audio engineering, that means shaping emotion and narrative through sound. In technology, it means designing systems that are intuitive, creative, and purposeful.

I approach every project with the same mindset: listen carefully, understand the goal, and build on what serves it. Whether I'm mixing a record, teaching, or developing tools, clarity and intent come first.
